May is always one of the busiest times of the year. Mother’s Day, graduations, prom and the kids coming home from college makes May hectic. I look forward to summer. Not that there any any lazy days of summer for me. I just look forward to it and hope that, after May, things slow down a little bit. I work on upcoming weddings that I am doing the planning for, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs that I decorate for. I also make new purchases for my website and store. I wish all of you a Happy May. Mothers Day Gifts

There are only so many days a year where you can stop and really let your mother know how much you care about her. Mother’s Day is one of those days. You can send her flowers, take her to a nice brunch, give her a thoughtful gift and spend quality time with her. To be honest, time spent with mom is all she really wants. As a mother of four children from the ages of 15 to 22, I am excited to know that we will all be together on Mother’s Day. The bonus is that my own mother will be with us as well. It will already be a great day. I don’t expect anything more. The gift is that we will all be together. Our tradition is to drive to Colorado Springs and go to the most amazing brunch at the Broadmoor Hotel. We started the tradition of going to a brunch with the kids when they were very little and we lived in Houston. We used to go to a fabulous restaurant called Brennen’s. When we moved to Denver, we wanted to keep the brunch tradition alive and found the Broadmoor. We have continued going every year for the last 11 years and hopefully, as our family grows, we will keep the tradition alive. If you are not able to take your mother to brunch, but still want her to know that you are thinking about her, I have a few gifts that she may like. Colorado Original Photography that is indoor/outdoor

I love taking pictures and have done so for years. I just haven’t done anything with my photography until recently. One of my good friends, Melissa, sold me the most awesome camera. What a difference a good camera makes. Now, my pictures make me even happier and I would love to share them with you. I have found a very unique way of mounting the photography on aluminum sheets. This was the idea of a new friend who recently past away. I have taken it one step further by printing the photos on special film that is able to be exposed to the outdoor elements. It may be some of the few indoor/outdoor art available. So unique. This winter wonderland scene was taken in my backyard after a big Colorado snowstorm. The air was so still, crisp and quiet. The only sound was the echo of the click from my camera. Please view my site to see the other photos that I have captured. I would love your feed back. My hope is to be able to submit my art to the art shows that are in the mountains in the summer and to have my own booth. Maybe this is my year!

Cashmere is so luxurious. The fabric is so soft and feels so warm against your skin. Colorado’s weather is so unpredictable. If I have one of my beautiful cashmere scarves on, I am ready for the day and the ever changing weather. I love wearing them when I travel, too. How many times have you sat next to someone on the plane with a cold? When I have my scarf on, I just pull it up over my nose and feel protected against all of the circling germs. These are great for men and women. It is the perfect gift! The assortment of colors are endless. I have posted just a few of my favorites.
